Aloha, what a journey it is and such an honor to be creating a context for community to form here on this sacred land near Kumukahi, the eastern most point of the Big Island, Hawai’i. I am honored to be of service to this aina and ohana, to work closely with such skilled, devoted and wonderful humans.

I am originally from Northern California, born and raised for the first 3 years of my life in a commune. Loved by a dozen adults, I was a baby with many caregivers. This tight-knit community disbanded when I was a toddler, but this initial imprint has carried me through my life with an ever deepening knowing that tribe is crucial for human development, and has brought me eventually to realize that to save our species we must relearn and reweave our culture back together through deep daily collaboration with each other and the land.

My adult life has been a journey of searching and learning, studying ancient practices of living, and now working diligently towards creating a beautiful context and bringing together a group of people who wish to embark on this courageous reweaving. After being on this island of Hawai’i for 10 years, I feel ready and so excited to begin to hold space for folks to come and experience a taste, a sample of what community feels like so that they can take it back into their own lives and plant the seeds of knowledge and experience that we have to offer here.

As program director, I am elated to be offering immersions in gardening, regenerative farming, women’s moon lodge facilitation, massage, breathwork, and many other practical aspects of community and healing modalities.

Blessings to all~~~ Jamila
